The newly opened Downtown Detroit location is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the team and uphold the brand’s high standards. This role is essential in driving operational efficiency and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing restaurant operations, including prior experience as a Bar Manager, which is highly encouraged. The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, along with bonus structures and healthcare benefits, reflecting the importance of the role within the company. As the Restaurant Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for executing the company’s vision by setting up the right tools, training programs, and processes to enhance guest experience at every touchpoint.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve ensuring excellent guest service by fostering an inviting, friendly atmosphere and a well-trained, motivated front-of-house team. You will oversee team member recruitment, scheduling, training, and evaluation to maintain a productive workplace culture. A critical element of this role is to meet company goals in sales growth, food and beverage quality, cleanliness, and profitability. Attention to detail and strong leadership skills are paramount as you monitor restaurant operations, manage inventory and receiving procedures, and uphold health, safety, and labor regulations. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining equipment and ensuring it is in excellent working order through regular inspections.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working in fast paced and high volume full service restaurant environment

Job Qualifications

  • Several years’ experience as a restaurant manager or similar position
  • good business math skills with the ability to analyze cost reports effectively to drive greater profitability
  • strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in the use of internet and ability to utilize computerized business tools such as email, learning management systems, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other appropriate software
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • experience managing large staff in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs
  • ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
  • responsible for hiring great team members, weekly schedules, training and development and overall performance for Fixins Service staff
  • achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
  • prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner
  • ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs
  • ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures
  • oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis
  • schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met
  • be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures
  • fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests
