- Knowledge of restaurant operations and seating protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with guests and team members
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food ingredients and menu items
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a timely manner
- Be the first positive and happy impression of the entire property
- Be aware of all appropriate seating accommodations
- Know the restaurant menu and ingredients
- Stay apprised of all property promotions, discounts and special events
- Come to work promptly and present yourself professionally in dress, hygiene, appearance and actions
- Adhere to the restaurant dress code
- Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant at all times
- Foster a team-minded environment
- Offer help whenever possible and demonstrate a team player mentality
- Communicate product shortages or needs to management
- Answer questions regarding the menu and prices
- Create server sections to ensure equal distribution of tables
- Be aware of reservations of large parties and their details
- Check out with a Manager before the end of your shift
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency while working
- Lift, pull, carry and push up to 40 pounds frequently
- Stand for long periods, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach as required
- Perform all other duties and special projects as requested by Supervisor
