Job Description

The Ned and Ned's Club represent a prestigious global network of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants designed for like-minded individuals to meet, work, and socialize in sophisticated environments. Since the launch of The Ned London in 2017, the brand has expanded its footprint with a Ned's Club in Washington DC, marking its fourth and newest location. Situated in a landmark neoclassical building named the Riggs Building, located just around the corner from the White House, the Club occupies a prime location at 734 15th Street NW. This historic 12-story building constructed in 1930 not only houses the Club but also the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream. Members enjoy an exclusive setting featuring a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with panoramic views of the White House, US Treasury, and Washington Monument. Additional luxurious spaces include the Founder's Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery, Conservatory, and private event spaces on the ninth floor.

Ned's Club Washington DC delivers an unparalleled members' experience focusing on exclusivity and personalized service. This community is a hub where members gather to relax, network, dine, and attend private events within a vibrant and elegant atmosphere. The Club cultivates a welcoming environment with a commitment to high standards of hospitality and exceptional service. It thrives on building lasting relationships with its members and delivering tailored experiences that emphasize comfort and discretion.

The role of a Restaurant Host at Ned's Club Washington DC is integral to the overall member experience, acting as the first point of contact and setting an inviting tone for the entire visit. As a Restaurant Host, you will be responsible for greeting members and their guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they are seated promptly and comfortably. You will build rapport with members to understand their personal preferences and needs, enhancing their satisfaction and loyalty over time. This position involves coordinating closely with the membership relations and management teams to facilitate seamless communication and to anticipate member requests and preferences.

The Restaurant Host must excel in providing outstanding hospitality while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in a high-pressure environment. Given the exclusive nature of the Club and its high-profile clientele, discretion and confidentiality are essential qualities for success. This role is both dynamic and sociable, requiring flexibility to work afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical stamina is necessary, as the role involves standing for long periods and handling some lifting duties.

By joining The Ned as a Restaurant Host, you become part of a renowned hospitality group that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous employee development. The role offers competitive compensation with an hourly wage of $22, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, and company-paid life and disability insurance. You will also access staff meals, employee assistance programs, 401k matching, exclusive hotel and dining rates, paid time off, and rewarding learning and development opportunities designed to support your career growth in the hospitality industry. The Ned promotes a culture that embraces different perspectives and fosters an environment where everyone can thrive and contribute to making it one of the best places to work in hospitality worldwide.
