The General Manager role at Guthrie's Chicken is a pivotal leadership position that requires dedication, enthusiasm, and a relentless commitment to delivering high-quality service to guests. This exempt position offers a competitive salary range from $50,000 to $65,000 per hour, along with a potential annual performance bonus of up to $5,000 based on store success. In this role, the General Manager will exercise direct supervision over three or more managers and a team of 15 to 50 employees. The primary responsibility is to cultivate a vibrant culture focused on hospitality and quality, ensuring that every step in preparing Guthrie's menu is executed with pride and precision. The General Manager will manage scheduling to optimize labor costs while maintaining exceptional guest service. This involves interviewing, orientating, and training staff at all levels, as well as developing and mentoring managers to equip them for future leadership roles.

Job Requirements

  • Work a 48-55 hour week
  • Subject to background check
  • In-store training program completed
  • Must maintain a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must possess a state-issued driver's license and maintain reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant management or related leadership roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a diverse team
  • Proven track record of achieving operational and financial goals
  • Knowledge of scheduling and labor cost management
  • Ability to foster a positive workplace culture
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with food safety and health regulations

  • Responsible for interviewing, orientating, and training staff at all levels within the restaurant
  • Be an ambassador for the brand, building strategic relationships within the community to build a conspicuous reputation of quality and hospitality throughout communities
  • Continually develop and mentor managers to prepare them for future advancement
  • Review performance daily, coaching and celebrating with the team
  • Provide leadership by generating excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment toward company objectives
  • Maintain flexibility beyond position description parameters
