Job Description
Guthrie's Chicken Fingers is a renowned restaurant brand known for its commitment to quality, hospitality, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a growing establishment in the food service industry, Guthrie's is opening a new location and is looking to hire a dedicated Restaurant General Manager to lead its team. Guthrie's emphasis on pride in food preparation, fostering a culture of hospitality, and community engagement has earned it a strong reputation in its markets. The company prides itself on delivering menu items with relentless quality and ensuring each guest receives exemplary service.
This role as General Manager is a pivotal leadership position within Guthrie's Chicken Fingers, responsible for overseeing daily operations and staff at a new location opening in July, with employment commencing in early June. The General Manager will exercise direct supervision over a team of 15 to 50 employees, ensuring that high standards are continuously met in food preparation, customer service, and team management. This position is exempt and offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year, including performance-based incentives that reward exceptional managerial performance.
The General Manager is entrusted with building efficient schedules that align staffing needs with business goals, ensuring the right people are at the right place and time to deliver quality guest experiences while managing labor costs effectively. This role also involves recruiting, interviewing, training, and onboarding staff at all levels, establishing a strong, talented team committed to Guthrie's values. Leadership extends beyond internal operations, as the General Manager acts as a brand ambassador, cultivating relationships within the local community to enhance the restaurant's reputation for quality and hospitality.
A vital aspect of this role includes developing and mentoring restaurant managers, preparing them for advancement by providing guidance, feedback, and recognition. The General Manager is expected to lead with enthusiasm and commitment, instilling excitement and a positive culture among the team. Flexibility is key, as the position demands a willingness to perform beyond the standard job duties to meet and exceed evolving business needs.
The work environment encompasses both restaurant and office settings. In the restaurant, the manager engages with kitchen and front-of-house operations, including handling kitchen equipment such as deep fryers. An appropriate physical condition is required to perform duties that may involve standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and extended periods of sitting. The office environment requires proficiency with computers and other office equipment. The restaurant General Manager must maintain flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and hold a valid state-issued driver's license with reliable transportation.
Guthrie's Chicken Fingers utilizes advanced technology, including artificial intelligence, in evaluating applicants for this role. This AI system assesses candidates' abilities, skill proficiency, and job fit, streamlining the recruitment and interview scheduling process. Candidates can request alternative selection methods or accommodations if needed.
In summary, this General Manager role at Guthrie's Chicken Fingers is an exciting career opportunity for a dynamic, committed leader passionate about food, hospitality, and community. The position offers a competitive salary, performance incentives, and the chance to lead a dedicated team at a growing restaurant location with strong brand values.
