Job Description
Border Foods is one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America, founded from the vision of two brothers who sought to bring delicious Mexican fare to their community. Today, Border Foods operates numerous locations, maintaining a strong commitment to a people-first mantra that permeates the organization. This family-oriented company values collaboration and mutual respect, placing importance on developing its employees, from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and support staff. Employees at Border Foods are part of a dynamic, evolving family that nurtures growth, learning, and a shared mission to make lives better through exceptional service and quality food.
The role of General Manager at Border Foods is a pivotal leadership position designed to embody and promote the company’s core values: Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring an exceptional experience for guests through outstanding food and friendly service. You will build and nurture a strong, cohesive team capable of consistently achieving Border Foods’ high standards while fostering a safe, welcoming, and supportive work environment where all team members can thrive.
This position offers competitive compensation with the potential to earn up to $100,000 annually through base pay and bonuses. Border Foods rewards top performers with exciting incentives, including an exclusive yearly trip to Mexico. In addition to financial rewards, the company provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance for all employees (even part-time), educational programs such as GED support and tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, and paid vacation, sick, and holiday time. The supportive culture promotes career growth and development, with ample training and leadership-building initiatives.
As a General Manager, you will guide your team by setting clear expectations, overseeing operations, and monitoring performance to maintain excellence. Your focus will be on creating an efficient, productive restaurant environment by strategic planning, profit and loss management, labor control, and inventory oversight. You will ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, and uphold the highest standards of health and safety. Your leadership will empower your team through active coaching, recognition, and development opportunities, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and motivated.
If you have a minimum of three years of experience in restaurant or retail management, a track record of successful hiring and retention, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, you may be the perfect fit for this rewarding role. Border Foods is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Join Border Foods and embark on a leadership career that offers excellent pay, meaningful benefits, and the chance to truly make a difference in the lives of your team and customers alike.
