Job Description

Our client operates within the restaurant industry and is a leader committed to providing high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences through efficient and professional operations. They focus on upholding company standards in product quality, food safety, and facility maintenance, emphasizing the importance of superior customer service and financial oversight to ensure the success and profitability of the restaurant. This organization fosters a culture of strong leadership, employee development, and continuous improvement to meet the evolving demands of customers while maintaining operational excellence. The company prioritizes recruitment, training, and retention of motivated and skilled employees to uphold its reputation and achieve sustained business growth.

The role of Area Coach (AC) is pivotal within this restaurant company, responsible for directly supervising Associate General Managers, Shift Managers, and hourly crew members. The primary objective of this position is to provide leadership and hands-on support to individual restaurants, ensuring they meet or exceed their annual operating plans. This involves driving excellence in customer service, maintaining rigorous food handling procedures, and ensuring compliance with operational processes and company standards. The Area Coach plays an essential leadership role in managing financial controls to meet profit margin targets, developing and motivating employees, and actively engaging in operational tasks to model appropriate skills and behavior.

As an Area Coach, you will be deeply involved in monitoring the restaurant's performance metrics such as sales, labor, inventory, and controllables, taking corrective actions to meet margin and growth targets. You will lead efforts to analyze and resolve customer service issues, train management and crew, and uphold food safety standards and company specifications. The role requires managing human resources activities, including hiring, training, compensation management, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with workplace regulations. Coaching and developing management staff such as Shift Managers and Assistant General Managers is a significant aspect, preparing them for higher responsibilities in leadership roles.

Your operational responsibilities will extend to facility maintenance, inventory oversight, and ensuring speed with service targets are met. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and manage capital expenditure requests. This position demands a high level of business acumen, strong team leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence simultaneously. With a focus on continuous improvement, the Area Coach supports the company’s mission to deliver a winning customer experience while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
