This role is an essential part of the Food and Beverage team, primarily assisting servers in providing excellent service to guests dining in the restaurant and lounge areas. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with guests, ensuring they receive a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. The position involves various responsibilities, including opening and closing duties, restocking service stations, bussing and resetting tables to maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting servers by preparing and refilling beverages. This role requires a proactive mindset focused on teamwork, hospitality, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service. It is pivotal to maintaining a smooth flow in the restaurant and contributing to overall guest satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • Perform all opening and closing duties as listed on side work assignment sheet
  • Apply teamwork skills at all times and assist co-workers when time permits
  • Greet all guests and provide intelligent and accurate information and direction
  • Stock and restock all service stations as needed
  • Buss, clean, and reset tables according to standards
  • Assist servers with food and beverage service
  • Refill coffee, tea, and water for all guests
  • Breakdown trays at the dish stand
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, work area, and dining room
  • Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Attend scheduled meetings and training classes
  • Remain current with hotel information and changes
  • Comply with hotel policies and rules and uniform and grooming procedures
  • Encourage a positive attitude among employees and treat other employees and guests with courtesy and respect
  • Be polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management, and fellow employees
  • Recycle whenever possible
  • Perform other duties as assigned
