Job Description
HHM Hotels is a distinguished hospitality group known for delivering exceptional guest experiences through premium service and a commitment to excellence. Renowned for its portfolio of upscale hotels and resorts, HHM Hotels integrates luxury, innovation, and sustainability to create unforgettable stays for its guests. With a strong emphasis on operational excellence and sustainable practices like the EarthView program, HHM Hotels stands out as a leader in the hospitality industry, fostering an environment where both employees and guests thrive.
The role of Restaurant Expeditor at HHM Hotels is pivotal in ensuring the flawless execution of dining service within their esteemed culinary establishments. As a Restaurant Expeditor, you act as the essential liaison between the front-of-house team and kitchen staff, making sure all food orders are prepared accurately, on time, and delivered to the correct guest with precision. This role demands keen attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage the flow of multiple dining services including private dining events, a la carte orders, and intricate multiple-course tasting menus.
In this capacity, the expeditor coordinates the receipt and communication of order tickets, emphasizing any allergies or dietary restrictions to the kitchen to maintain guest safety and satisfaction. You will 'fire' courses in collaboration with the chef, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of presentation, freshness, and temperature. Additionally, you oversee food runners, ensuring they know exactly when and where to deliver dishes and that they can confidently describe the menu items to guests.
The role also includes maintaining an impeccably stocked expeditor station, charged with all necessary supplies such as plate wipes, thermal printer paper, and side towels. Adherence to restaurant policies, Forbes and LQA standards, and sustainability practices are integral to this position. Furthermore, you will play a key part in monitoring and improving guest satisfaction scores, contributing to the overarching mission of hospitality excellence that HHM Hotels lives by.
Working as a Restaurant Expeditor at HHM Hotels provides a dynamic environment with opportunities for career development, potentially advancing to roles such as Restaurant Server, Restaurant Captain, and eventually Restaurant Manager. This position requires physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform tasks that maintain the swift and smooth operation of the restaurant. HHM Hotels champions a workplace culture built on values like 'People Are Our Capability,' 'Hearts That Serve,' and 'Only Excellence,' encouraging team members to stay nimble and take ownership of their roles.
Embarking on a career as a Restaurant Expeditor with HHM Hotels means joining a team dedicated to hospitality artistry, guest engagement, and sustainable operations. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about food service, who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to a distinguished hospitality brand that values its people and its planet.
