Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 5 years of management experience
  • minimum 3 years of functional culinary experience
  • build and maintain relationships with local purveyors and farmers to source fresh ingredients
  • necessary culinary expertise including advanced food preparation and cooking skills with emphasis on hearth cooking
  • experience in chef-driven restaurants
  • strong interest in hearth cooking techniques

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team: recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a cohesive culinary team to maintain high standards of professionalism and productivity
  • Menu development and execution: create and evolve the menu, incorporating hearth cooking techniques, seasonal ingredients, and aligning with the restaurant's vision
  • Operational excellence: maintain food safety, cleanliness, kitchen organization, and health code compliance
  • Cost control and financial management: manage food and labor costs, analyze reports, and ensure profitability
  • Collaboration and communication: partner with management to align culinary direction with business goals and contribute to a positive guest experience
