The role of Restaurant Event Manager at State Grill and Bar in New York, New York, offers a full-time opportunity to be part of this dynamic and highly respected hospitality group. The Restaurant Event Manager is chiefly responsible for the planning, coordination, and flawless execution of upscale private events, especially those hosted in lounges and executive dining spaces. This position requires a leader who can manage catering and banquet operations with a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and quality service standards.
As Restaurant Event Manager, you will direct and oversee all aspects of catering and banquet activities, ensuring that every event runs seamlessly from inception to completion. Daily pre-event briefings, coordination between banquet and culinary teams, meticulous inventory management, and careful organization of catering equipment and storage are integral parts of the role.

- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in catering preferably in fine dining restaurant operations
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional guest service and cultivate positive working relationships
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Excel, Word
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in alignment with operational demands

Job Duties

- Monitor inventory levels of catering supplies and beverages to ensure accurate tracking and timely replenishment
- Develop staffing and event schedules that align with operational needs and service demands
- Process and coordinate catering orders to ensure accuracy and on-time fulfillment
- Organize catering equipment, rentals, storage areas, and incoming deliveries to maintain cleanliness, readiness, and efficient operations
