Job Description

Café Zupas is a dynamic and rapidly growing restaurant chain specializing in house-made and globally-inspired culinary delights including soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Established in 2004, Café Zupas has expanded to over 85 kitchens across 8 states, with plans for continued growth and community engagement. The brand focuses on providing real, whole food prepared fresh every day in next-generation kitchens that emphasize quality, health, and sustainability. Café Zupas prides itself on a work culture centered on the well-being of its team members and customers, fostering a positive environment where real food and heartfelt service connect.

The position of District Manager at Café Zupas is a pivotal leadership role designed for experienced multi-unit managers who thrive in fast-paced, energetic settings and are passionate about mentoring and developing talent. This full-time role involves working closely with restaurant leaders across multiple locations, ensuring operational excellence, and driving business success by meeting sales, labor, and food cost targets. District Managers at Café Zupas are entrusted with cultivating a culture of positivity, gratitude, and teamwork—key pillars that sustain the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering team satisfaction.

As a District Manager, you will spend 2-3 days at a time in each assigned restaurant, providing on-the-ground leadership, coaching, and support to restaurant managers and their teams. By partnering with Talent Mentors, you will ensure that all restaurants maintain appropriate staffing levels and have a robust succession pipeline built through effective leadership development and mentoring. You will be instrumental in shaping the future growth of the company by building a bench of future leaders who embody the company’s core values. This role not only demands operational rigor and strategic acumen but also the ability to inspire and sustain a positive workplace culture.

Café Zupas offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401K plans, paid time off, and a unique annual international incentive trip that rewards excellence and commitment. The company supports a healthy work-life balance with a set schedule that guarantees two days off per week and closures on Sundays and certain holidays. Employees enjoy competitive pay, free meals prepared in kitchens that exclude grease, grills, and fryers, and a work environment that is modern, energetic, and focused on growth and development. Joining Café Zupas means becoming part of a collaborative culture that values teamwork, continuous innovation, and the shared goal of nourishing the good life for both team members and guests.

If you have 2-5 years of multi-unit leadership experience, strong mentoring skills, and a drive to grow sales and develop people in an innovative restaurant setting, Café Zupas invites you to become a part of their exciting journey. This role is ideal for leaders who enjoy adapting to new processes and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with an enthusiasm for creating positive impacts on their teams and communities.
