The role of Kitchen and Dining Area Attendant at Atria Senior Living, Inc. is vital to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service expected in the community’s dining facilities. This position involves responsibility for ensuring that the kitchen and dining areas remain in a clean, orderly, and sanitary state to uphold hygiene and operational excellence. The attendant's duties encompass washing, cleaning, sanitizing, and storing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and all other equipment used in kitchen and dining room operations. Maintaining kitchen floors and equipment cleanliness and adhering to assigned cleaning schedules are also central to the role. Additionally, the attendant works closely with the Director of Culinary Services and Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs, contributing to an experience that aligns with Atria's Art of Dining enhancement initiatives. This position not only focuses on maintaining sanitary conditions but also on facilitating smooth kitchen operations by assisting cooks and wait staff as necessary. The role requires adherence to quality enhancement standards and strict food safety practices, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines. By participating in special events, banquets, and theme meals preparation and execution, the attendant supports the community’s engaging dining atmosphere. Engaging in pre-meal briefings and performing other assigned duties as necessary, the kitchen and dining area attendant plays an essential role in delivering exceptional service and creating a warm, welcoming dining environment for the senior living community. Job Duties

  • Maintain the kitchen and dining areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Wash, clean, sanitize and store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment used to operate the kitchen and dining room areas
  • Clean floors, equipment and other areas as assigned
  • Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere
  • Work closely with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs
  • Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times
  • Wash and store all dishes and equipment in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Maintain dish room area in a neat, clean and sanitary manner
  • Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of the Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs
  • Maintain dish machine after each meal by thoroughly cleaning and maintaining sanitizing temperatures and parts per million levels
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned
  • Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies
  • Assist cooks and wait staff as requested
  • Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices
  • Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • Attend pre-meal stand up in kitchen prior to meal service
  • Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
