Job Description
Wonder is a revolutionary mealtime platform dedicated to making world-class food accessible to everyone, combining the flavors of over 20 exclusive restaurants into one seamless dining experience. This innovative company excels in delivering quality, variety, and consistency at scale by owning and operating every step of the dining experience, from recipe development to the technology powering the platform. Located in Mount Laurel, Wonder offers customers the unique ability to mix and match hundreds of dishes from Michelin-starred and celebrity chefs all in a single order, serving food made fresh on-site by their skilled culinary team. They are committed to inclusivity, diversity, and fair hiring practices, ensuring a respectful and supportive work environment for all employees. The company’s growth offers dynamic career opportunities and a chance to be part of a fast-growing, stable organization.
The Team Member role at Wonder is a versatile and exciting opportunity for both full-time and part-time candidates who are passionate about food and hospitality. This position offers a competitive pay rate starting at $16.50 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour premium for overnight shifts between midnight and 5 AM. Team Members enjoy real growth potential, with opportunities to earn more as Certified Team Members or Trainers, along with numerous other employee benefits like free meals during shifts, employee discounts, 1.5x pay on company holidays, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, employer health savings account (HSA) match, employee stock, and more.
As a Team Member, you will be instrumental in bringing restaurant menus to life, preparing food to Wonder's exacting standards while maintaining meticulous cleanliness and organization of workstations. Your role will encompass adhering strictly to HACCP and food safety protocols to ensure every meal is safe and delicious. Managing inventory scans and packing accurate portions are also key to ensuring order precision and customer satisfaction.
Beyond culinary duties, you will take part in delivering exceptional hospitality by warmly greeting guests, assisting with orders and pickups, managing payments, and providing support for the Wonder app. Sharing knowledge about the company’s unique concepts and ensuring dispatch accuracy are part of the day-to-day responsibilities. Team Members may also engage in light local marketing activities such as distributing flyers and street engagement to promote the brand.
Maintaining a pristine environment is critical, so you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Regular washing, cleaning, and restocking of cookware, utensils, and equipment are essential to keep operations smooth. Proper handling of trash and recycling, alongside promptly reporting equipment issues, supports the efficiency and sustainability initiatives of Wonder.
Success in this position requires collaboration and energy; therefore, supporting teammates, stepping into various roles as needed, and maintaining a positive and high-energy work environment are vital. Wonder fosters development, encouraging Team Members to progress into Trainers and Supervisor roles, promoting long-term career advancement.
Overall, this is an exciting opportunity for individuals motivated to work in a fast-paced, fun, and growing company that values excellence, inclusivity, and innovation in the food industry. Joining Wonder means becoming part of a dedicated team striving to make exceptional cuisine accessible to a wide audience while receiving competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
