Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds
  • Must have a 'win together' mentality
  • Availability based on needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain an active role in the smoothness and efficiency of retail restaurant operations by producing and coordinating the production of food items needed for daily menus and special events
  • Control daily and weekly inventories
  • Maintain team awareness of inventory cost and profitability through proper use of production, build-to, and order sheets
  • Check in with supervisor for any special preparation needed before starting normal kitchen tasks
  • Coordinate production of daily menu items using menu count and production (or build-to sheets) to help control waste
  • Check inventory of all menus
  • Communicate supply needs for production with head cook
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area keeping in mind all health and sanitation standards
  • Maintain equipment daily and report any malfunctions to designated Associate
  • Maintain flow of food orders by communicating promptly with Associates
  • Verify all special orders with designated Associate
  • Maintain production of menu items throughout the day, keeping up with supply demands and making efforts to avoid wasted items
  • Close and sanitize work area promptly according to health codes and gather items required for next day's production
  • Communicate any supplies that need to be ordered to supervisor
  • Check in with a supervisor before leaving
  • Uphold all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and 3rd party Sanitation auditors
