Job Description

This job posting is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Jack in the Box Inc. This means that if you are hired, your employer will be the independent franchisee and not the corporate entity Jack in the Box Inc. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment-related matters including setting job requirements, making hiring and firing decisions, managing discipline, establishing wages, providing supervision, and determining staffing and scheduling. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant or fast food management preferred
  • ability to manage a team of 3 to 15 employees
  • excellent customer service skills
  • basic computer proficiency
  • ability to handle cash responsibly
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • must be able to speak, read and write English fluently and clearly
  • strong math skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages
  • basic computer skills including use of Excel and Word
  • prior management or supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to train and develop staff
  • strong organizational and communication skills

Job Duties

  • manages a staff of approximately three to 15 employees
  • provides on-the-job training for all employees
  • delegates and is responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning and paper supplies to minimize waste and theft
  • assists in the supervision of preparation, sales and service of food
  • forecasts food items and estimates consumption per shift
  • supervises food preparation and service operations during duty
  • assists shoppers during rush periods to maintain efficiency
  • ensures every customer receives world class customer service
  • routes deliveries and supervises drivers to maximize delivery business and speed
  • completes daily food preparation including opening procedures and production tasks
  • completes closing procedures
  • executes systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness
  • completes daily and weekly paperwork
  • responsible for 100% of cash drawers during shift
  • audits previous shift systems and procedures for integrity
  • completes preventive maintenance and upkeep on equipment and supplies
  • performs other related duties as required
