Within this vibrant environment, Kalahari Resorts is actively seeking an Assistant General Manager for Double Cut Steakhouse, located within their property. This role is essential in supporting the restaurant's operational success by guiding daily functions, fostering team development, and ensuring guests receive outstanding service. Job Requirements

  • Background in general food and beverage knowledge
  • Minimum of 1 year in front-of-the-house operations or assistant management in hotel or resort
  • Prior full-service restaurant experience
  • Supervisory experience of staff
  • Preferred 2 years of related experience including craft cocktail knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Willingness to fill in various roles as needed
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general food and beverage operations
  • At least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management experience in a hotel or resort setting
  • Experience in full-service restaurant environments
  • Prior supervisory experience of staff
  • Experience with craft cocktails preferred
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to upholding service excellence and team development

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of the facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training associates and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Fill in where needed as interim Manager, Supervisor, or Associate to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations daily
  • Continually strive to develop, coach, and train staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
  • Support the General Manager in driving service standards, financial performance, and operational excellence
  • Lead by example to foster a culture of respect, support, accountability, and genuine care for guests and team members
  • Monitor daily restaurant operations to resolve issues promptly and maintain guest satisfaction
