Job Description
Inn The Doghouse is a well-established company with over 22 years of experience operating award-winning dog and cat daycare, boarding, and grooming facilities. Serving the community with dedication and passion, they offer a broad range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of pets and their owners. These services include Enrichment Daycare, traditional all-day play, pet suites, webcams for pet monitoring, birthday parties for pets, and a full-service pet spa. The company prides itself on providing exceptional care and maintaining a high standard of quality in all aspects of its operations, ensuring that every pet feels comfortable, loved, and well-cared for. Inn The Doghouse is recognized not only for its commitment to animal welfare but also for its role as a community hub where pet owners can trust and feel supported.
The position available is for a Resort Manager at their Lakewood location, reporting directly to the General Manager and the Owner. This leadership role is suited for individuals who exhibit a strong passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and a desire for both personal and professional growth. The Resort Manager will play a critical role in helping the company maintain its reputation for excellence by overseeing daily operational functions, managing staff, and fostering positive client relationships. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment dedicated to animal care, while also contributing to the business’s goals. Responsibilities include motivating staff, ensuring high-quality care for pets, managing schedules and employee performance, assisting in hiring and training, and managing the overall guest experience at the resort. The ideal candidate will also participate in marketing activities and community engagement to enhance the company’s visibility and outreach.
The Resort Manager position comes with competitive compensation, offering a base salary range between $40,000 and $50,000 annually, alongside potential bonus opportunities. The role is full-time and requires a hands-on approach to facility management, evidence-based decision-making, and strong communication skills to liaise between leadership and onsite teams. Working hours typically span from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays with part-time availability on weekends as scheduled by the General Manager. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle lifting moderate weights. As part of its commitment to its employees, Inn The Doghouse also offers a robust benefits package, including paid time off, Simple IRA with employer matching, dental and vision insurance, and optional additional coverage such as short-term and long-term disability and accident hospitalization insurance. This comprehensive approach supports both the professional and personal well-being of its team members, making Inn The Doghouse an attractive employer for animal lovers who seek stable and rewarding careers in pet care management.
