This enchanting coastal escape spans 2,000 picturesque acres on Johns Island, merely 20 miles from the historic city of Charleston. Known for its design-led and experience-driven approach, The Dunlin embodies the timeless elegance and charm of an eternal Southern summer home. Named after a local shorebird, the resort offers 72 cottage-style guest rooms and suites, each designed by renowned designer Amanda Lindroth. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and outdoor bliss of coastal living through thoughtfully curated experiences that reflect the region’s wellness focus and unique environment. The resort aims to deliver personalized, memorable moments rooted in authentic Southern hospitality, making it a standout destination for travelers seeking a refined and intimate luxury experience.

Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving on the Executive Committee, the Resort Manager will carry significant responsibility for the daily operational excellence and culture of the resort. This role demands a dynamic leader capable of overseeing multiple departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Security, Spa, Wellbeing, and Engineering, while fostering seamless coordination and upholding the signature service philosophy that defines The Dunlin experience. The Resort Manager will play a key role in shaping and elevating the property’s service culture and operational standards. They will be instrumental in driving financial performance by partnering with senior leadership to oversee budgets, forecasts, and strategic goals, continuously identifying opportunities to optimize profitability and operational efficiency through meticulous financial oversight and operational analysis.
In addition to financial stewardship, the Resort Manager will provide strategic operational leadership—working closely with department heads to ensure smooth, high-quality guest experiences on a day-to-day basis. This role requires a strong commitment to service excellence, team development, and guest engagement. The Resort Manager is expected to champion the resort’s ethos, adapting programs, services, and operations to uphold luxury hospitality standards while fostering a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture. They will also be actively involved in guest relations, strengthening connections with repeat visitors and promptly addressing any concerns to ensure guest satisfaction. This leadership position demands exceptional financial acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team, fostering professional growth and future leadership within the resort. Working within a luxury hospitality environment, the Resort Manager will be a key driver in bringing the unique Auberge Collection vision to life at The Dunlin, ensuring guests enjoy an unparalleled coastal retreat experience.
