The Residential Manager role at AWARE is pivotal in ensuring that the group home environment operates efficiently and safely while meeting all regulatory standards. This position supports the daily management of staff and residents to guarantee quality care and personal growth opportunities for clients. The Residential Manager will be responsible for staff hiring, training, supervision, and scheduling to maintain adequate coverage and uphold care standards. Ensuring residents receive appropriate care, including assistance with daily living activities and healthcare needs, is a core function of this role. Financial management responsibilities include budget development and oversight of operational expenses to keep the home within established financial parameters. The manager also ensures compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations and licensing requirements, fostering a safe and well-maintained environment for residents. Job Requirements
- Bs/ba degree in the human services field or at least four years of direct employment experience
- supervisory or leadership experience for two years
- valid Montana driver's license or willingness to obtain one
- acceptable driving record
- successful completion of a criminal background check

- maintaining accurate records and reports related to residents, staff, finances, and operations
- providing directions for the day-to-day operation of the group home
- ensuring treatment interventions are maintained and communicated through various shifts
- providing input regarding resident care and supervision to interested parties
- leading and participating in the development of individual treatment plans and coordinating individual, group, and family therapies
- ensuring that safety procedures and residents' rights are strictly enforced
- managing the day-to-day finances of residents and the group home
- overseeing the maintenance of the residents, assigned vehicles, and other equipment
- participating as a treatment team member for all residents' cases in the group home
- strictly adhering to and recognizing State of Montana licensing standards including actively participating in yearly licensing reviews
- providing employee supervision, counseling, and direction as needed including completing performance evaluations
- planning, escorting, participating in, and supervising residents during community and group activities, including recreational, leisure, vocational, and educational activities to build skills and develop appropriate coping mechanisms
- working towards achieving key performance indicators on a regular and consistent basis
- attending and participating in mandatory training, in-services, staff meetings, and corporate committees as assigned
- undergoing and passing training and testing in areas such as H.E.L.P (de-escalation and therapeutic holds), medication certification, first aid/CPR, blood borne pathogens, client/employee health and safety, and behavior intervention skills upon hiring
