The role of Residential Concierge at Mandarin Oriental Residences, Fifth Avenue, is a vital position entrusted with enhancing the resident experience through exceptional, tailored services. Reporting directly to the Director of Residences, the Residential Concierge serves as a key liaison between residents and the residence team, ensuring that every request is met promptly and with the highest level of professionalism. The position demands a comprehensive knowledge of New York City's finest offerings, from dining and entertainment to cultural events and transportation options, combined with proactive anticipation of residents' needs to create seamless, memorable experiences. This role requires maintaining meticulous records of all resident interactions, reservations, and service deliveries through advanced software systems to guarantee accuracy and accountability. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and uphold Mandarin Oriental’s high standards of presentation, communication, and service excellence. This is a part-time or full-time role with flexible scheduling that includes the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts, paying $32.29 per hour. Job Requirements

Able to communicate written and spoken English
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be professional and possess excellent presentation and communication skills
Flexible schedules and hours with willingness to work on weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed
Must have strong knowledge of city dining and entertainment options
Able to work well in a team environment
Able to multi-task and remain composed under pressure

Job Qualifications

Luxury hotel or condominium concierge experience preferred
Excellent overall communication skills both written and verbal in English
Able to multi-task and remain composed at all times
Able to work well in a team environment
Professional presentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills
Knowledge of New York City restaurants, bars, nightclubs, theatres, Broadway shows and attractions
Knowledge of BuildingLink system is desirable
Multilingual skills are an advantage
First Aid and CPR qualifications are a plus
Certificate of Fitness holder (S-95) is desirable

Job Duties

Maintain a constantly updated database with extensive information about city highlights
Demonstrate firsthand knowledge of recommendations with thorough research
Be proactive and anticipate the complete requirements to make the experience a success
Inquire as to the success or enjoyment of the recommendations made
Maintain a daily record via software of all requests, reservations, and confirmations for all residents
Know the Unit Owners and Tenants by name
Be knowledgeable of all in-house and arriving residents
Arrange package delivery and pickup for residents noting location, time, date, and reference ID
Make and confirm dining reservations with superb recommendations
Communicate all key details to management and colleagues
Provide a daily shift log to the Director of Residential Operations
Respond to all resident needs and requests
Coordinate and organize daily activities and requests of all residents
Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing deliveries and packages
Develop relationships with nearby restaurants and bars to provide services to residents
Maintain an updated knowledge of in-house and local dining options
Be knowledgeable of directions, travel times, costs, and transportation forms
Handle and organize resident keys including special access and emergency procedures
Facilitate resident administrative requests
Maintain the presentation standards of a 5-Star lobby
Multi-skill when necessary such as covering lobby and door when needed
Answer Concierge phone promptly with Forbes 5 star standard phrase
Perform other activities as deemed appropriate by the Director of Residential Operations
