The company distinguishes itself by adopting a resident-centric approach to living experiences, combining its in-house design, construction, and operations teams to consistently deliver exceptional value, innovation, and quality across its expansive portfolio. Cortland's forward-thinking mindset is built on challenging traditional norms in the multifamily housing sector and seeking insights beyond conventional industry boundaries. This strategic approach has propelled its strong growth, market leadership, and reputation for performance, innovation, and disciplined execution.
At Cortland, the commitment to building a best-in-class organization is evident in its focus on empowering top talent. The company prioritizes providing the necessary resources, autonomy, and support that enable employees to achieve their goals, deliver impactful results, and advance their careers within a high-performance, collaborative environment. Cortland fosters a workplace culture that celebrates diversity, equality, and inclusion, ensuring equal consideration for all applicants and embracing a supportive atmosphere where everyone can thrive. It also maintains its status as a drug-free workplace and complies with federal employment verification regulations, reflecting its dedication to workplace integrity and legal compliance.
The role of Residential Concierge at Cortland is a pivotal position within the community, acting as the heart and face of each multifamily property. Residential Concierges are responsible for cultivating a warm, welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities at the property. This role requires a genuine passion for customer service and community engagement, as well as the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of residents, guests, and partners proactively. Responsibilities include managing communications among property management, security, maintenance, vendors, and other teams to foster a seamless living experience. The Residential Concierge issues and tracks building access cards, parking permits, and visitor credentials, ensuring security and convenience for all community members.
Additionally, the Residential Concierge supports community-building efforts by coordinating and executing resident events, onsite programs, and activities designed to enrich the living experience and cultivate a sense of connection. They maintain the front desk and lobby area's polished appearance, manage inventory for community supplies, assist with amenity reservations, and coordinate work orders to address maintenance issues swiftly. The role also involves daily opening and closing duties to prepare the property for residents and visitors and support resident engagement programs, including event calendars and community communications.
This dynamic position demands exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills paired with a strong attention to detail. The ability to multitask while delivering compassionate, professional service defines success in this role. Candidates with prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or front-desk roles, particularly within residential or service-oriented settings, will find this opportunity fulfilling. The Residential Concierge will collaborate with onsite teams such as leasing, management, and maintenance to provide consistent property support and operational improvements.
Cortland offers a rewarding work environment where the contributions of the Residential Concierge directly influence residents’ satisfaction and the overall community atmosphere. Joining Cortland as a Residential Concierge means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization dedicated to redefining apartment living, promoting career growth, and fostering a culture of meaningful interactions and high performance.
