Capstone Management Partners (CMP), in strategic partnership with Cardinal Group Management, offers specialized on-campus student housing management services across the United States. CMP is committed to supporting university partners by providing customized management solutions that allow institutions to outsource operations and facilities management while maintaining control over residential life services. This approach focuses primarily on affiliated campus-edge and on-campus student housing facilities, leveraging the expertise of CMP combined with the innovative practices of Cardinal Group Management, a nationally recognized leader in student housing property management. We are currently seeking a Resident Advisor who will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaging community environment within our student housing facilities. This part-time, non-exempt position is ideal for an adaptive, outgoing, and hardworking individual who values high-quality customer service and community liaison work. As a Resident Advisor, you will be responsible for greeting students and visitors, responding to inquiries, assisting with resident programs, and supporting after-hours needs on an on-call basis. The position demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage administrative tasks including the lockout and key system for residents. This role is pivotal in ensuring residents feel supported and connected, contributing to a positive residential experience.
The compensation for this role, especially if performed in California, aligns with local regulations and ranges from $16.50 to $18.50 per hour plus bonus potential. The Resident Advisor position involves working up to thirty hours per week, including weekends during peak periods such as move-ins and move-outs. The work environment is office-based, utilizing standard office equipment in a professional setting while maintaining a dynamic interaction with students. The ideal candidate will be a student enrolled at Orange Coast College, meeting specified GPA requirements, dedicated, and motivated to contribute to a vibrant student community. - minimum 6 units at Orange Coast College
- semester GPA of 2.3 or higher
- cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- excellent customer service skills

- ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Job Duties
- welcome students and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone
- answer questions or refer inquiries appropriately
- cover admin desk during scheduled shifts
- maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- assist with resident programs
- cover on-call schedule to support residents during after-hour needs
- contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related administrative results as needed
- answer phones and emails and provide customer service to residents
- manage the lockout/key system for residents
- participate in Cardinal U as required
