Job Description
The Ritz-Carlton is a globally recognized luxury hospitality company, renowned for its exceptional service and elegant accommodations. With more than 100 award-winning properties worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton sets the benchmark for luxury experiences by fostering a culture of creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion among its Ladies and Gentlemen – the team members who bring each property to life. As a part of Marriott International, The Ritz-Carlton benefits from a powerful portfolio of brands and global reach, offering employees excellent career growth opportunities and a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. The company prides itself on creating memorable and rare luxury service experiences that stay with guests long after their visit, guided by the Gold Standards such as the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values.
This position is an integral part of The Ritz-Carlton team, tasked with delivering outstanding service to Residence owners and their guests. The role primarily involves responding promptly and effectively to visitor requests and special arrangements, which may include coordinating transportation, making reservations, arranging dry cleaning services, and more. This customer-facing role requires a high level of professionalism, communication skills, and an understanding of the luxury hospitality environment.
The Associate will gather, summarize, and communicate valuable information about the property and the local area amenities, including special events and activities, ensuring that Residence owners and their guests have a seamless and enriched experience during their stay. Additionally, the position involves controlling access to the residence, announcing visitors and contractors, and maintaining security through the key tracking system.
A critical responsibility includes managing all incoming calls, messages, and requests with efficiency and courtesy while coordinating with various departments such as Engineering, Bell Services, and Housekeeping. The Associate also supports reservation services and facilitates elevator scheduling for moves and valet service requests, enhancing the overall guest satisfaction. Duties extend to performing Lobby Ambassador tasks, maintaining detailed and accurate shift logs and memo books, and reporting incidents or unsafe conditions to management as per established company protocols.
Beyond operational responsibilities, the Associate must adhere to strict company policies including uniform standards, confidentiality of information, and asset protection. The role demands excellent communication skills to interact with guests, employees, and vendors in a clear and professional manner. The Ritz-Carlton emphasizes the importance of building positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and effectively addressing any employee concerns.
Physically, the position requires standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods, along with the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to The Ritz-Carlton’s standards of service excellence, portraying a warm welcome to all Residence owners and guests, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation.
This entry-level role typically requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and at least one year of related work experience, with no supervisory duties expected. It provides an excellent opportunity to work within a prestigious luxury brand, gain hands-on experience in hospitality service excellence, and build a rewarding career path in the hotel industry. Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a global family that supports personal growth, celebrates diverse backgrounds, and commits to providing a respectful and inclusive work environment.
