Job Description
Our company is a forward-thinking food manufacturer dedicated to creating health-conscious, flavorful, and innovative products that empower busy people to eat clean without sacrificing taste. We pride ourselves on rigorous quality, safety, and certification standards, including SQF and USDA certification, to ensure that every product leaving our facilities meets the highest industry benchmarks. As a growing player in the clean eating movement, we focus on combining culinary creativity with food science expertise to deliver unique food solutions that resonate with modern consumer preferences. Our culture fosters collaboration across multiple departments including R&D, Operations, Marketing, and Sales, creating a dynamic environment where innovation thrives and commercial success is driven by shared goals and cross-functional teamwork.
In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between culinary artistry and scientific precision. Your responsibilities will include developing new product ideas from initial concepts in the test kitchen all the way through full-scale manufacturing. This position demands a strong balance of culinary intuition and scientific rigor alongside commercial awareness to ensure all products meet company standards and consumer expectations. Collaboration plays a significant role, working with R&D teams to innovate, Operations to ensure consistent manufacturing quality, and Marketing and Sales to execute impactful product launches and brand communications. You will spearhead projects by owning formulations that meet product claims, ensuring ingredient quality, and adhering to certifications like GFCO, Paleo, and USDA.
Additionally, you will stay abreast of new food trends, consumer preferences, competitive products, and nutritional guidelines to maintain our market edge. A critical part of your work includes creating and maintaining detailed product data for intellectual property, training materials, and regulatory compliance. Your role will also involve troubleshooting production issues, refining packaging approaches, and participating in food styling and photoshoots to enhance marketing efforts. To succeed, you will bring expertise in ingredient functionality, sensory evaluation, complex food systems, and food science manufacturing principles such as GMP, HACCP, and sanitation practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate food scientist or culinologist with product development experience to influence the creation of clean-label food products that help consumers maintain healthier lifestyles without compromising flavor. This role is suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to lead innovation projects while collaborating closely with a dedicated and knowledgeable team. If you have a strong foundation in culinary science or food technology, combined with hands-on product development experience and a drive to develop cutting-edge food solutions, this position offers a rewarding and impactful path forward.
