The role of Plant & Operations Maintenance Manager Sr is a pivotal leadership position within Aramark’s healthcare facility management sector. This role involves overseeing the facility management departments with a focus on technical expertise and operational excellence. The manager evaluates operating program standards, measures performance, and recommends innovative solutions to enhance or improve facility operations. The position is responsible for driving adherence to Aramark’s program standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to both operations and maintenance activities. By conducting thorough research into the facilities industry trends, the Plant & Operations Maintenance Manager Sr ensures that Aramark remains competitive and innovative within the healthcare market.
This role requires building and maintaining strong, effective relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to healthcare facility management. The manager plans, administers, and directs activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, ensuring financial accountability and compliance with relevant regulations. Key responsibilities include compliance with safety regulations and standards set by government and client regulatory agencies. The manager oversees all major site utility systems, such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire safety, and life safety systems, ensuring their optimal performance for patient satisfaction and safety.
The Plant & Operations Maintenance Manager Sr is also responsible for vendor management, ensuring efficient service delivery and identifying opportunities for expanding Aramark’s services. They maintain high levels of client and customer relations through regular interactions and rounding, promoting excellence in service and operational performance. Leadership duties include managing performance and development of Facility and Maintenance Supervisors and frontline employees, ensuring adherence to human resources policies. Financial oversight includes managing component forecasts, accounting functions, and capital budgets, as well as utilizing management software tools such as ISIS Pro for operational control.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Five to seven years of healthcare maintenance management experience
- Licenses for heating, piping and cooling work such as S-1 or S-2 preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong leadership abilities
- Profit and loss (P&L) experience
- Working knowledge and preventive maintenance of building systems including boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Time management skills to handle multiple client relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexibility and creativity to adapt to changing situations
Job Qualifications
- Five to seven years of healthcare maintenance management experience
- Licensed for heating, piping and cooling work preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong leadership abilities
- Profit and loss experience
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance for building systems such as boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC

Job Duties
- Plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, including finance accountability and regulatory compliance
- Delivers strong operational performance by executing Aramark, client, and government standards, monitoring operations, assessments and action plans
- Ensures compliance with safety, Joint Commission and other regulatory standards
- Oversees site utility systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire safety, life safety and grounds
- Manages vendors to ensure efficient service delivery
- Maintains effective client and customer relations and identifies service expansion opportunities
- Provides leadership and manages performance for all Facility and Maintenance Supervisors and frontline employees
- Develops operational forecasts and manages component accounting and capital budget
- Ensures consistent use of ISIS Pro modules for operation management
- Ensures compliance with all contract obligations
