Job Description
Abrazo Health Network is a renowned healthcare organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of its patients by fostering genuine relationships and heartfelt compassion. Unlike traditional medical institutions that focus solely on treatments, Abrazo prioritizes a community-centric approach where caregivers and supporting staff unite to extend care, comfort, and healing to every individual they serve. With a workforce of dedicated healthcare professionals, this network embodies unwavering commitment to patient-centered care and strives to uplift and support its team at every level.
At Abrazo Health Network, joining the team is more than just accepting a job; it is becoming part of a tightly knit community that supports each other while delivering exceptional care. The organization is well-known for cultivating an enriching and rewarding work environment where talent and dedication merge. This environment not only nurtures professional growth but also promotes personal fulfillment through meaningful relationships and collaborative efforts. Employees at Abrazo are surrounded by like-minded teammates whose passion for healthcare drives them to improve lives daily.
The role available is for an RN Manager in a full-time daytime position, responsible for managing one or multiple departments within the hospital setting. The RN Manager plays a crucial leadership role, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring that nursing care provided meets comprehensive standards. The position involves directing, supervising, training, orienting, and evaluating staff members while enforcing policies and operational procedures. Budgetary and fiscal accountability also form a significant part of this role, with responsibilities that include managing resources, approving supply orders, and overseeing department strategic planning.
This leadership role entails delivering individualized nursing care that addresses not only the physical needs of patients but also their psychological, spiritual, social, and educational well-being. The RN Manager works closely with the nursing staff to meet organizational goals and uphold regulatory standards. Key duties involve patient care oversight, staff management, monitoring quality and safety metrics, and maintaining continuous preparation for healthcare surveys.
Moreover, the RN Manager actively participates in budget development, manages variances between budget projections and actual expenditures, and contributes to efficient cost containment. Staffing and employee management are critical to this position, which includes creating schedules, guiding professional development, managing performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team culture. The role requires strong decision-making skills, accuracy, and the ability to handle a variety of situations independently.
Abrazo Health Network values certifications and education, with minimum requirements including a Nursing Degree from an accredited school, a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona, and relevant clinical experience. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree and supervisory experience. Special certifications such as CPR, ACLS, PALS, and nursing specialty credentials are encouraged depending on departmental needs. The RN Manager must be adept with personal computers and capable of working under deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
