CHRISTUS Santa Rosa is a distinguished healthcare institution located in the historic and community-rich area of Alamo Heights. With a legacy spanning more than 145 years, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa has been a cornerstone of Catholic, faith-based healthcare excellence in the region. The facility overlooks the scenic Quarry Golf Course and boasts a 36-bed short stay surgical hospital equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This includes advanced electronic medical records systems that enhance the delivery of care. The hospital is supported by highly specialized services, skilled physicians, and dedicated clinical care teams committed to providing the best possible patient outcomes. Their approach to healthcare integrates faith, compassion, and medical expertise, creating a healing environment respected by both patients and medical professionals alike.
This particular role invites qualified registered nurses to join the vibrant team at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa. The position is full time and offers multiple shift options to accommodate different scheduling needs. As a nurse here, you will practice independently while demonstrating comprehensive awareness and responsiveness to the patients’ needs in various clinical settings. The role involves routine and complex patient care responsibilities with a focus on long-range care planning and crisis management capabilities. This position is ideal for nurses who are looking to grow professionally in a supportive and faith-based healthcare environment. You will be expected to uphold the OneCHRISTUS Competencies, including Leadership at various levels, ensuring that clinical care is managed efficiently and effectively by delegating tasks and coordinating with other care providers.
Key to this role is the delivery of nursing care consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice. Nurses are tasked with utilizing the full nursing process, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The job requires attention to psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, ensuring that care provided is holistic and patient-centered. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols, monitoring patient responses, and documenting care meticulously to maintain accurate health records. A vital aspect of the role also involves assessing patient and family learning needs and providing appropriate education and resources to support recovery and wellness. This nursing position requires a dedication to upholding the values of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa, embracing both clinical excellence and compassionate care. Relocation is required for this position, indicating the institution’s commitment to attracting skilled professionals who are ready to contribute to their distinguished mission and community.
