The role of the Regional Safety Manager (RSM) at Ceco Concrete Construction is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing and enhancing safety measures throughout assigned regions. The RSM ensures compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and leads the defense during citations and inspections. This role demands an individual who is highly knowledgeable in construction safety protocols, injury prevention, and claims management. The Regional Safety Manager conducts on-site safety inspections to assess and improve work practices, analyzes regional safety metrics to identify risks and trends, and develops proactive strategies to mitigate safety hazards.
Beyond compliance, the RSM acts as a mentor and leader to site safety coordinators and area safety managers, fostering professional growth and ensuring the effective execution of safety programs. Job Requirements
- Five years of experience in the administration of safety and risk management programs or occupational safety and health programs supporting similar key responsibilities
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupation safety and health or related degree CHST GSP ASP or CSP a plus
- Experience in high rise structural concrete construction preferred
- Familiarity with construction safety work rules contained in supervisor safety manuals as well as OSHA Part 1910 and 1926 regulations
- Understanding of state workers compensation laws and reporting requirements
- Ability to travel and work on construction projects up to 60 percent
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Conducts periodic on-site safety inspections analyzing work practices to determine safe and efficient methods of performing work
- Monitors regional safety metrics and trends to proactively address emerging risks and ensure continuous improvement
- Documents information in relevant reports and analyzes data to make control recommendation(s)
- Facilitates quarterly SQP reviews with regional and district leadership providing insights and action plans based on data trends
- Ensures all safety policies and procedures comply with local state and federal OSHA rules and regulations
- Responsible for defense against OSHA citations
- Completes and files Notice of Contest and represents the company in all safety and health inspections conducted by OSHA
- Oversees a Region's delivery of training programs for managers supervisors and field employees when required and develops new training programs as needed
- Assists local office management as needed in identifying potential safety issues affecting overall safety performance for an assigned operating unit or company
- Oversees a Region's injury and claims management including developing injury illness treatment protocol and OSHA recordkeeping management
- Supervises the Site Safety Coordinator(s) and Area Safety Manager(s) providing support to ensure safety compliance and effective execution of daily site operations
- Develops and implements regional safety strategies aligned with corporate safety goals and initiatives
- Provides mentorship and professional development to Area Safety Managers and Site Safety Coordinators supporting continued growth
- Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization
- Reports directly to and maintains open communication with Regional Safety Director
