The Regional Safety Manager role is a pivotal position within this organization. This full-time role involves leading and enhancing safety programs across several distribution and manufacturing facilities in the designated region. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety, the Regional Safety Manager will be integral to cultivating a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, especially OSHA guidelines. This role requires an individual who can develop and standardize safety policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) while fostering alignment with plant leadership to drive consistent safety outcomes.

Responsibilities include oversight of workers' compensation case management, including injury documentation, root cause analysis, and coordinating with insurance carriers and third-party providers to facilitate incident resolution. The role also involves conducting in-depth site safety audits and risk assessments, leading safety committee meetings, and promoting staff engagement to embed safety as a core value within all operational activities. Moreover, the Regional Safety Manager will deliver essential safety training, conduct toolbox talks, and provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to both frontline workers and operations leaders.

The successful candidate will also manage compliance efforts related to personal protective equipment (PPE) programs, equipment safety inspections, and emergency response protocols. Industrial hygiene testing pertaining to noise, air quality, and exposure levels will be conducted under the manager's direction, along with implementation of corrective action plans where necessary. In addition to partnering with HR and operational teams to oversee incident response and reporting, the Regional Safety Manager will play a leadership role in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety and reducing incident rates.

This position offers a competitive salary range between $62,020 and $97,544 along with an annual performance bonus and merit-based salary increases. The role requires travel between regional sites to effectively manage the multi-site safety programs and maintain strong relationships with plant leadership. A bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent work experience is preferred, along with several years in a multi-site safety role within manufacturing, distribution, or logistics. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, injury and illness recordkeeping, and workers' compensation management is essential. Candidates with a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation or other safety certifications will be considered favorably but such credentials are not mandatory.
