The role of Construction Safety Manager at M.C. Dean is pivotal in ensuring the health and safety standards within construction projects. This position requires oversight of construction project Safety and Health (S&H) programs and Risk Management efforts across multiple sites. The Construction Safety Manager develops and implements site-specific project safety plans, while collaborating closely with Project Management teams to lead the Operational Risk Management (ORM) processes effectively. This leadership position demands a proactive approach towards creating and enhancing safety training programs, including OSHA 10, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid training, and other customized safety curricula based on project needs. The role involves redesigning training materials to improve employee engagement and hands-on training experiences, ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards such as the National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E, and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). Key responsibilities include monitoring the effectiveness of training programs, mentoring safety professionals, and fostering cross-training initiatives. The Construction Safety Manager must stay current with regulatory, operational, and technical updates pertinent to safety management and training protocols.
