The role of Regional Safety Manager at EquipmentShare is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are eager to grow within a fast-paced and mission-driven company. This position is pivotal in ensuring safety compliance and fostering a culture of safety across multiple project sites and branch locations throughout Florida. The Regional Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures in alignment with OSHA, NFPA, and other relevant safety regulations. This role requires conducting audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to promote safe work practices and prevent incidents. Additionally, the Regional Safety Manager will lead investigations into accidents and near-misses, analyze safety data to identify trends, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in safety management, environmental health & safety, or related field or 7-10 years equivalent safety and OSHA compliance experience
Minimum of 6 years professional field experience in safety, preferably construction industry
Current ASP, GSP, CHST, or CSP certification
Proficiency in OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and NFPA standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to project sites and branch locations
Must live within 45 minutes of a domestic airport
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules and procedures
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively present and communicate with employees and leadership

Job Qualifications

Proven experience as a Safety Manager with regional or multi-site responsibility
Current ASP, GSP, CHST, or CSP certification
Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NFPA, and applicable safety regulations
Ability to prepare safety policies, reports, and communications
Proficiency in safety data analysis, risk assessment, and trend identification
Excellent organizational, motivational, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to influence others
Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
Adaptable and self-motivated with skills in engaging diverse teams
Knowledge of worker’s compensation laws and return-to-duty programs preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field or equivalent experience
At least six years of professional field experience, preferably in construction
Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Job Duties

Develop, implement, monitor, and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and programs across all regional locations
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments at branches, job sites, and facilities
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other federal, state, and local safety regulations
Compile and analyze safety data to identify unhealthy trends and recommend interventions
Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Maintain thorough documentation of safety activities, incidents, and corrective measures
Conduct safety training sessions, presentations, stand-downs, and weekly meetings
Partner with operations to integrate safety into daily business activities
Apply OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards to evaluate workplace conditions and employee practices
Provide regular safety reports and metrics to regional leadership
Promote a strong safety culture by engaging employees at all levels and reinforcing best practices
