Job Description

Stonecreek Golf Club, located in Phoenix, AZ, is part of the Arcis Golf family, a leading operator of high-quality golf courses across the United States. Arcis Golf is known for its commitment to creating welcoming environments where team members, members, and guests thrive with respect, collaboration, and a shared passion for golf. The organization values inclusivity and fosters a team culture where humility, gratitude, and mutual respect are integral to daily operations. As a premier golf club, Stonecreek offers exceptional golf experiences with well-maintained facilities and a focus on member satisfaction. The club's location in Phoenix, a vibrant city with a strong golfing community, further enhances its appeal for both employees and patrons.

The Regional Golf Cart Mechanic role is a vital position within the Golf Operations department at Stonecreek Golf Club and other affiliated properties under Arcis Golf. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this non-exempt hourly position involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of golf cart fleets, utility vehicles, and other related equipment across eight golf course properties throughout the Phoenix Valley. The role requires extensive travel between these locations using a company-provided service vehicle to ensure that each fleet is safe, reliable, and fully operational.

The Regional Golf Cart Mechanic will play a key role in enhancing the operational efficiency of the golf courses by performing inspections, diagnostics, and both mechanical and electrical repairs on a variety of vehicles including electric golf carts, gas-powered beverage carts, utility vehicles, shuttle carts, and ranger vehicles. Preventive maintenance is a critical part of the job, which includes tasks such as battery upkeep, charging system diagnostics, brake adjustments, tire repairs, tune-ups, and oil changes. The mechanic must prioritize repairs and maintenance to maximize fleet availability and minimize downtime, utilizing strong organizational skills to manage service schedules and maintenance records effectively across multiple sites.

In addition to technical responsibilities, this role demands excellent communication skills to coordinate maintenance activities with golf course staff and management, ensuring transparency about repair status and maintenance needs. The mechanic is also responsible for maintaining inventory levels of common parts and supplies, and for preparing new carts and vehicles for service entry. This position requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities across varying environments. Flexibility in schedule is necessary, with potential for occasional evening or weekend work based on operational requirements.

Working conditions involve a mix of outdoor and shop environments, where exposure to moving parts, weather elements, chemicals, and electrical systems is routine. Physical demands are significant, including lifting, bending, climbing, and walking, often in diverse weather conditions. This role offers a dynamic work experience that combines technical mechanical skills with the opportunity to engage with a passionate golf community across multiple scenic properties. Candidates will find a supportive and growth-oriented environment within Arcis Golf, which prioritizes career development and offers comprehensive employee benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.
