Job Description
The Walt Disney World Resort is a globally renowned entertainment and recreation complex located in Florida, celebrated for its diverse and immersive experiences. This expansive resort encompasses four world-class theme parks, two water adventure parks, 31 resort hotels including 17 owned and operated by Walt Disney World and 14 Disney Vacation Club properties, as well as 63 holes of golf spread across four golf courses. Additional amenities include two full-service spas, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney Springs—a vibrant entertainment, shopping, and dining complex—and Disney's Wedding Pavilion. This iconic resort attracts millions of visitors annually, offering unparalleled guest experiences rooted in creativity, quality, and innovation.
The resort is actively seeking a seasoned hotelier for the position of Regional General Manager, Resort Operations. This senior leadership role reports directly to the Vice President of Resort Operations and carries the responsibility of overseeing a portfolio of 6-8 hotel properties, leading a team of executive leaders. The Regional General Manager serves as a pivotal figure in driving guest service standards, enhancing Cast Member engagement, and steering ongoing quality improvements within the hotel operations. The role requires developing and executing strategic initiatives that maximize commercial potential, increase profitability, and optimize cost management while fostering transformational changes aligned with Disney's commitment to delivering world-class guest experiences. The position offers a competitive salary ranging between $214,600 and $287,700 annually, with additional incentives such as bonuses and long-term incentives, as well as comprehensive medical, financial, and other benefits.
As a Regional General Manager at Walt Disney World Resort, the individual will provide operational and strategic leadership to general managers and their teams, ensuring each property attains its performance goals. This includes managing profit and loss statements, controlling costs, and elevating satisfaction levels among both guests and Cast Members. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in operational excellence, innovation, and change management within the hospitality industry. They will also have a passion for diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment that values diverse perspectives and nurtures workforce diversity. Responsibilities include mentoring general managers, conducting regular property visits to ensure compliance with brand standards, and championing initiatives that enhance the overall guest experience. Given the resort's international clientele, bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred. Overall, this role combines high-level business acumen, visionary leadership, and a commitment to exceptional service standards to uphold and extend the magical experiences synonymous with the Walt Disney World brand.
