Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is a unique and popular cinema chain known for combining the magic of movies with exceptional food and beverage service, creating an entertaining and immersive movie-going experience. Operating in multiple locations across the United States, Alamo Drafthouse is a leader in the entertainment and hospitality industry, offering guests not only a film screening but a complete and memorable outing. The company values community, innovation, and outstanding customer service, which are highlighted in its core values: doing the right thing, fostering community, boldly going, and giving a sh!t. These principles guide the organization in delivering outstanding experiences and fostering a workplace culture where employees can thrive and feel engaged.
The company is currently seeking a Regional Field Food & Beverage Trainer, a pivotal role that ensures the consistency, quality, and execution of food and beverage standards across its venues. This position is based out of 123 Main St, Austin, Texas, and compensates between $65,000 and $75,000 annually, plus an incentive bonus based on performance. This role is a key link between strategic standards and on-site execution, working primarily in-venue with some administrative responsibilities. The Regional Field Food & Beverage Trainer will collaborate closely with operations, culinary, and training teams to coach and develop both hourly teammates and managers. The role emphasizes hands-on training, operational support, audits, and floor leadership to uphold the Alamo Drafthouse brand standards.
This position offers a fun workplace culture where employees are encouraged to be themselves and do awesome work. Benefits include free movies and food, paid time off, competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and access to medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, and voluntary benefits for all full-time and part-time teammates. The role demands a hands-on approach, with approximately 90% of the time spent in venues providing field support, coaching, and ensuring high operational and food & beverage standards. The trainer will monitor COGs, cleanliness, menus, food safety, and team performance while also driving training programs and supporting new store openings and operational changes.
Ideal candidates are expected to live in or within commuting distance to locations such as Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; or New York City, NY, and must be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and peak business periods. The position requires regular travel within the region, up to 70%. It is an engaging role for an experienced and motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about operational excellence and team development. The Regional Field Food & Beverage Trainer fosters a culture of accountability, cleanliness, and operational excellence, ensuring compliance with all safety and brand standards while supporting teammate engagement and development initiatives. This opportunity represents a fulfilling career path for individuals who want to influence and improve food and beverage operations across a respected and innovative entertainment company.
