Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking experience preferred
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
  • Good physical condition to meet job demands
  • Effective communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and various cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations including proper handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare a diverse array of dishes
  • Ready the workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use various utensils including knives
  • Operate appliances like ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, and mixers
  • Use different cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Maintain the quality and safety of food through proper storage
  • Keep work areas, utensils, and devices sanitary and germ free
  • Deliver top-notch customer service maintaining a cheerful demeanor
  • Comply with Aramark safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • Maintain safety measures for organizational resources
