Job Requirements

  • experience as a cook or in a related role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math skills
  • strong communication abilities
  • physical capability to meet job demands including lifting and standing for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook or in a related role
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing

Job Duties

  • follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • ready workstations with necessary tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use various utensils, including knives
  • operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • employ cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming for meats, vegetables, and other foods
  • structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to established regulations
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage as per policies
  • ensure a sanitary and germ-free environment in work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • deliver excellent customer service with a positive and approachable attitude
  • comply with Aramark safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • uphold safety measures for organizational resources
