This position is for a Recreation Food Runner at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, an on-call role available from mid-May to mid-August 2025. The ideal candidate will support the Explorer Island recreational area, which features attractions such as a Family Pool, Splash Zone, Lazy River, The Drop, beach volleyball, basketball hoops, and The Hideout gaming area. Additionally, the site includes the complimentary Kids for All Seasons program. The Recreation Food Runner plays an essential part in elevating the dining experience at this vibrant recreational setting, assisting food servers by accurately and efficiently delivering food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction through attentive service.

The successful candidate for this role should possess a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, previous experience working in outdoor resort settings, and the ability to endure high temperatures while standing and walking for extended periods. A flexible schedule is crucial as the role requires availability on weekends and holidays. Fluency in English and legal authorization to work in the United States are mandatory.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • ability to work outdoors in high temperatures
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • able to stand and walk for longer than two to four hours
  • fluency in English
  • legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Assist food servers in providing an expertly served dining experience
  • clearing and resetting tables according to standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line
  • deliver food to the correct tables and seat numbers while giving an accurate and appealing food description
  • support recreational activities by ensuring timely and efficient food service at Explorer Island
  • adhere to health and safety guidelines in food handling
  • assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment in outdoor recreational settings
