Job Description
The Education Service Center (ESC) is a pivotal institution dedicated to supporting educational initiatives, administrative efficiency, and community engagement within the school district and its affiliated entities. Known for fostering an environment of collaboration and service excellence, the ESC plays an integral role by providing resources, training, and administrative support to educators, staff, and the public alike. As a specialized administrative hub, the ESC also prioritizes safety, accessibility, and responsiveness, ensuring that every interaction within its premises contributes to the smooth functioning of educational endeavors in the region.
The role of Receptionist/Office Assistant at the ESC is essential in maintaining the welcoming atmosphere and operational continuity of the center. Serving as the initial point of contact, the Receptionist/Office Assistant is responsible for greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and ensuring that all individuals who enter or engage with the ESC receive accurate information and appropriate guidance. This professional is not only a communicator but also a key facilitator of access and security, responsible for coordinating the background check program—which includes fingerprinting staff and community members—and managing building access and surveillance.
Beyond front desk responsibilities, the Receptionist/Office Assistant supports various logistical and administrative tasks such as handling fee collections for programs, managing office supplies and equipment maintenance, producing staff identification badges and business cards, and assisting in special projects under the guidance of the Superintendent and Human Resources. This multifaceted position requires a professional with strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to manage diverse tasks with efficiency. Offering steady employment within an educational service environment, this role is vital to upholding the ESC’s values of integrity, safety, and public service. The position demands proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer systems, as well as effective communication capabilities, making it well-suited for individuals seeking a dynamic and impactful role within an education-focused administrative setting.
