Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, patients, and other personnel
  • time management and organizational skills
  • basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office and EPIC
  • ability to interpret various data and instructions
  • ability to prioritize and work within standardized policies and procedures
  • ability to work independently and with a team
  • problem-solving skills
  • commitment to maintaining patient privacy
  • willingness to work full-time day shifts including occasional weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • time management and organizational skills
  • basic knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and EPIC
  • ability to interpret data and instructions from multiple sources
  • ability to prioritize assignments and work within policies
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • problem-solving skills by selecting appropriate solutions
  • knowledge of privacy regulations concerning PHI
  • ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and staff

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients, visitors, employees, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
  • determine the nature and purpose of visits and direct or escort visitors to specific destinations
  • use judgment and initiative to complete routine tasks and prioritize requests
  • maintain general knowledge of the medical center and affiliate to assist visitors effectively
  • adhere to local, state, and federal regulations including privacy and safety protocols
  • manage communication and collaborate with team members and other personnel
  • ensure the privacy of patients' protected health information (PHI)
