UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Gainesville, affiliated with Select Medical, is a leading inpatient rehabilitation hospital dedicated to delivering exceptional and compassionate care. We are currently seeking a Receptionist to join our team on a per diem basis. This role is essential for maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff, and ensuring smooth operational flow within the facility. The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, managing access and security while providing essential administrative support across various departments. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of patients and families by facilitating efficient communication and coordination in a dynamic healthcare environment.
The receptionist will be responsible for screening visitors to direct them appropriately within the hospital, ensuring that all visitors sign in and wear visitor passes to maintain security protocols. Additionally, the receptionist will provide crucial support by covering for the admissions coordinator during breaks or when required, managing incoming calls, performing overhead paging, and notifying the appropriate personnel when a tour of the facility is requested. Other key responsibilities include assisting patients by obtaining wheelchairs, reporting unusual behavior in the lobby or parking area to facilities, coordinating delivery of gifts to patients, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and logging all incoming job applications.

Job Duties
- Screen visitors to the appropriate location ensuring building security
- Ensure all visitors sign in and wear a visitor's pass

- Notify the admissions coordinator of customer requests for facility tours
- Obtain wheelchairs for patients
