Job Description
Brookdale Senior Living Inc is the largest provider of senior living solutions in the United States, dedicated to delivering exceptional care and service to seniors across nearly 1,150 properties in 47 states. Established in 1993, Brookdale has grown to employ between 5,000 and 9,999 associates who are committed to enhancing the quality of life for approximately 110,000 residents. Known for its gracious hospitality, home-like community atmospheres, and industry-leading clinical care, the company offers a robust and supportive environment focused on both resident well-being and employee growth. Recognized by Newsweek in 2024 and 2025 as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity, Brookdale fosters an inclusive workplace where every team member can thrive and contribute to meaningful work.
As a healthcare services organization, Brookdale provides a comprehensive range of opportunities in operations, food service, marketing, human resources, and resident care, catering to passionate professionals who seek to make a positive impact. The organization emphasizes professional development through extensive training programs and ongoing wellness initiatives, reflecting its commitment to helping employees achieve their best selves. Brookdale also supports veterans, transitioning military personnel, and military spouses by encouraging applications and assisting qualified associates in their path to U.S. citizenship.
The role of a Receptionist at Brookdale is essential in maintaining the welcoming, safe, and organized atmosphere that residents and visitors expect. Receptionists serve as the first point of contact for anyone entering the community, greeting visitors warmly and providing answers to their inquiries. This role demands strong communication skills as receptionists handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls, direct these calls appropriately, manage guest logs, and ensure that visitors comply with community protocols such as signing guest sheets. Additionally, receptionists are responsible for sorting, delivering, and collecting mail to and from residents and the community.
Beyond administrative duties, this position may require responding to resident emergencies by contacting proper internal or external support based on established protocols, showcasing the receptionist's role in community safety and responsiveness. The position offers both full-time and part-time employment types, with a competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience. Brookdale extends a full suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and optional voluntary benefits like pet insurance, tuition reimbursement, and legal plans, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee well-being.
