As a part of the Universal Health Services (UHS) network, the hospital benefits from the wider support and resources of one of the nation’s largest and most respected healthcare providers. Gulfport Behavioral Health System is committed to delivering compassionate care in a safe and supportive environment, leveraging evidence-based practices to help patients recover and thrive during their most vulnerable times. The hospital offers a wide range of behavioral health services tailored to meet the unique needs of its diverse patient population. For more information, you can visit their official website at www.gulfportbehavioral.com.
The position being offered is that of a part-time Receptionist, an essential role within the hospital's daily operations. The Receptionist will be responsible for greeting and assisting visitors to the hospital, managing communications through a multi-line switchboard, and handling various clerical tasks with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy. This role is scheduled for 30 hours per week, specifically Monday through Friday from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm, allowing for a consistent evening shift schedule. In addition to greeting visitors, the Receptionist will document incoming deliveries, manage incoming and outgoing mail, and support other clerical duties as assigned. Some responsibilities may include preparing deposits, generating monthly statements for mailing, and aiding in the completion of new admissions paperwork during after-hours shifts.
As a part-time but benefit-eligible position, the Receptionist role at Gulfport Behavioral Health System offers an opportunity to work within a rewarding and challenging environment that prioritizes patient care above all else. Employees at Gulfport Behavioral Health and the broader UHS network value a workplace culture that emphasizes compassionate service, supportive leadership, and a strong peer network that fosters collaboration and continuous learning. Career development opportunities are robust, with numerous continuing education options and pathways for skills diversification and advancement. Universal Health Services, the parent company, is a Fortune 500 corporation with a significant presence across the United States and beyond, operating a vast network of hospitals and healthcare facilities with an employee base of approximately 101,500 individuals.
UHS’s commitment to equal employment opportunity ensures that all applicants and employees are treated with respect and fairness, regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, genetic information, disability status, or veteran status. Their inclusive workplace culture and dedication to employee growth make Gulfport Behavioral Health System an outstanding place to build a career in healthcare.
