  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Knowledge of hospital telecommunication systems

Job Qualifications

  • One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide hospital telecommunication services using telephones, pagers, paging system, radio, or computer
  • Connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families
  • Maintain records related to telecommunications such as long distance phone calls, on-call employees, and pages
  • Integrate hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
  • Manage multi-line telephone systems effectively
  • Ensure confidentiality and quality standards in communication
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and hospital personnel
