Job Description
Our company is a professional services organization dedicated to providing exceptional client experiences and maintaining smooth operational workflows. We are known for our welcoming environment and commitment to professionalism, which reflects in every interaction with our visitors, clients, and staff. We are currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team on a temporary basis for a specific event taking place from Monday, May 4 to Wednesday, May 6, 2026. This position requires a consistent presence from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, with a one-hour lunch break typically between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. Prior to the event, a mandatory training and orientation session will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This session includes a meeting with our supervisor Renee and the distribution of building access fobs. Attendance is required even for individuals who have previously worked with our company, to ensure proper introductions and security clearance.
The Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This role is integral in maintaining the professional atmosphere of our workplace, assisting guests with a warm welcome and guiding them appropriately. Duties include greeting visitors, answering incoming phone calls, taking and distributing messages, and directing calls to the right staff members. The receptionist is also responsible for the operational upkeep of the front desk, such as opening and closing window shades at the beginning and end of each day to help maintain office ambiance and security. The preferred dress code for this role is business casual, underscoring the importance of a professional appearance.
This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage interactions effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all visitors are greeted promptly and with courtesy, contributing to a positive workplace environment. Prior experience in customer service or receptionist roles is beneficial to navigate the diverse demands of front desk management. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy a dynamic work environment and take pride in being the welcoming face of an organization. By joining our team, you will contribute significantly to the seamless flow of daily office activities during the event period, enhancing client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
