Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in an office environment
- Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Must pass drug screening and criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of prior experience in an office setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional public presentation skills including telephone etiquette
- Proficient in basic PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, program management, medical staff, counselors, and peers
- Ability to maintain routine records and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Self-directed with ability to work with little supervision
- Flexible and cooperative
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Job Duties
- Perform secretarial duties including answering phones, forwarding calls, managing mail flow, data entry, reconciling daily money collected, and office inventory control
- Assist Medical Director, Program Physician, and Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes including scheduling, patient check-in, insurance verification, payment collection, and follow-up calls
- Assist in obtaining patient histories from other Narcotic Treatment Programs (NTPs), build blank patient files for new admissions, archive discharged files, and prepare and maintain reports and records
- Maintain office cleanliness including children’s play area, lab area disinfection, and coffee/beverage area cleaning
- Facilitate specimen collection from patients if applicable, deliver specimens to lab, file results, and distribute to counselors
- Perform other duties as assigned
