Job Description

Takeda is a global biopharmaceutical leader dedicated to transforming patient care through the development of innovative specialty pharmaceuticals and best-in-class patient support programs. Known for its commitment to improving lives worldwide, Takeda fosters an inclusive and collaborative workplace that encourages innovation, excellence, and a patient-focused mindset. Certified as a Global Top Employer, Takeda offers stimulating careers and values diversity, providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants regardless of their background. Takeda's subsidiary, BioLife Plasma Services, operates Plasma Donation Centers where they collect high-quality plasma used to create life-saving medicines. They emphasize flexibility and meaningful employment opportunities, particularly for those seeking part-time roles that accommodate busy lifestyles and other commitments. Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, BioLife offers a part-time receptionist position that fits well within the company’s mission of delivering excellent service and operational efficiency.

The part-time Receptionist role at BioLife, a division of Takeda, is designed for individuals who value flexibility while contributing to a vital aspect of healthcare. This position typically involves shifts lasting between four to six hours per day, at least three days a week, providing a great opportunity for those needing a work schedule that fits their lifestyle. The receptionist plays a critical role in plasma center operations by greeting donors, managing appointment schedules, answering phones, and performing administrative functions that support overall center stability and donor satisfaction. Employees in this position report directly to the Plasma Center Manager and are integral to maintaining a welcoming, efficient, and organized environment.

Working as a receptionist at BioLife requires reliability, strong customer service skills, and attention to detail. Employees become the first point of contact for donors, both new and returning, and contribute directly to the plasma collection process that supports the creation of life-changing medicines. Given the importance of plasma donations, punctuality and adherence to scheduled hours are highly valued, and team members are kept informed about any changes in advance. This role also involves contributing ideas for continuous improvements in operational processes, working collaboratively with management to enhance the donor experience and facility efficiency.

In addition to the rewarding nature of working in healthcare services, the position offers a competitive starting hourly wage of $17.00 in Milwaukee, with compensation aligned to local or state minimum wage requirements. Employee benefits for U.S.-based hires include eligibility for medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, paid volunteer time off, paid vacation accrual, sick leave, tuition reimbursement, and access to wellness programs. Takeda is committed to equitable pay and transparency in its compensation practices, supporting employees with both financial and personal well-being programs in a fast-paced yet friendly work environment.
