Job Description

Brookdale Senior Living is recognized by Newsweek in 2024 and 2025 as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity. This prestigious recognition reflects Brookdale's commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where all employees can thrive. Brookdale Senior Living operates as a leading provider of senior living solutions in the United States, specializing in assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities. By combining compassionate care with high-quality services, Brookdale aims to improve the lives of seniors while creating rewarding career opportunities for its associates.

Brookdale offers a unique work environment where employees are encouraged to become their best possible selves while making a meaningful impact on the lives of residents. Beyond earning a paycheck, associates at Brookdale benefit from professional development opportunities designed to nurture career growth and personal wellness. The company supports its team members through a range of ongoing programs that promote health and well-being, offering a full suite of health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans tailored to different employment statuses. Whether working part-time or full-time, employees have access to numerous benefits that contribute to a balanced and satisfying work-life experience.

The role at Brookdale in this position involves acting as a welcoming and helpful presence at the community's entrance. As a front desk associate or receptionist, you will greet all visitors arriving at the community, answer questions, and ensure visitors sign guest logs appropriately. Additionally, you are responsible for answering and directing phone calls to the correct residents and staff members, thus playing a vital role in effective communication within the community.

You will also handle sorting, delivery, and collection of incoming and outgoing mail for both the community and residents. Basic office and clerical tasks may be part of your duties to maintain smooth daily operations. Another important aspect of the role includes responding to resident emergencies by contacting the proper internal and external parties following the community's protocols. Thus, reliability and prompt action are critical qualities in this position.

Associates at Brookdale enjoy a supportive work environment that values diversity and equal opportunity. The company welcomes veterans, transitioning active duty military personnel, and military spouses to apply, recognizing the importance of diverse experiences and backgrounds. In an effort to support employees toward achieving U.S. citizenship, Brookdale offers financial assistance for naturalization application fees for qualified associates who have been with the company for at least one year.

The compensation for this position will depend on the applicant’s skills and experience, which indicates that Brookdale values a range of abilities and invests in its employees accordingly. While temporary associates are not eligible for company benefits, they can participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Applicants should note that the application window is anticipated to close within 30 days of the job posting date, signaling a timely hiring process.

Overall, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to work in an inclusive, supportive community-focused environment, helping to improve the lives of seniors while advancing your career in a well-established company committed to employee well-being and professional growth.
