Job Description
Slow Fox Dance Hall is a vibrant dance studio located in Napa, CA, dedicated to making social dance accessible and enjoyable for adults and teenagers throughout the northern Bay Area. As a community-driven establishment, Slow Fox Dance Hall specializes in a wide variety of partnered dance styles, from social dances such as salsa, tango, country, and swing to ballroom dances like waltz, rumba, and foxtrot. The studio is more than just a place to learn dance steps; it is a hub for connection, confidence, and creativity for its diverse student body. At its core, Slow Fox values the relationships it builds with its students and community, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment through performances, social events, competitions, and customized dance programs tailored to each dancer's goals.
Slow Fox is currently seeking a highly motivated and personable Administrative Assistant to work as the Front Desk Administrator. This position can be full-time or part-time, providing flexibility to accommodate different schedules. The Front Desk Administrator will be a crucial member of the team, serving as the first point of contact for students, visitors, and community members. The role revolves around supporting the dance professionals and ensuring a seamless and positive experience from the moment someone walks through the door.
The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a diverse range of administrative duties with a warm and friendly demeanor. While prior administrative experience is preferred, the key qualities for success include strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and an engaging personality that invites interaction and fosters community spirit. The Front Desk Administrator will handle scheduling, tuition management, studio supply coordination, and general office tasks, all while maintaining the studio’s welcoming atmosphere.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, Canva, and Dropbox is essential, as the role also involves supporting social media posts and creating video content. The candidate must be an effective communicator, able to maintain a professional and friendly tone both in person and over the phone. Quick, actionable note-taking and proactive help are core to this position’s responsibilities. Adaptability is crucial as the Front Desk Administrator will assist with various administrative needs to keep the studio functioning smoothly.
Slow Fox offers competitive salaries, flexible work hours, and an inspiring work environment centered around dance and community. The company supports professional growth and development, with regular performance evaluations occurring every six months that may lead to raises based on job-related skills and achievements. If you are a team-oriented professional who enjoys engaging with people and making a positive impact daily, Slow Fox Dance Hall invites you to apply and become part of their vibrant community.
