Job Description

362 The Gardens at Springfield is a well-established senior living community located in Springfield, Missouri. We pride ourselves on fostering a warm, welcoming environment that promotes comfort, respect, and quality of life for our residents. Our community offers a range of services tailored to meet the needs of seniors, ensuring they live with dignity and joy. As a leader in senior living, we emphasize compassionate care and professionalism, providing exceptional service not just to our residents but also to their families, visitors, and staff members. Our supportive and inclusive atmosphere makes 362 The Gardens at Springfield a place where residents feel at home and team members are valued for their contributions.

We are currently seeking a PRN Receptionist to join our team on an as-needed basis, which includes occasional evening shifts and weekend coverage. This position pays an hourly wage between $15.75 and $17.00 and requires a High School diploma or equivalent. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for everyone who walks through our doors, including residents, families, visitors, applicants, vendors, and team members. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure the front desk operates efficiently and smoothly. The PRN Receptionist must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, creating a positive atmosphere that reflects the caring nature of our community.

This job involves managing a multi-line telephone system, answering calls promptly, and relaying messages with accuracy and courtesy. You will handle the distribution and sending of mail and faxes, maintain office supply inventories, and assist managers with special projects and mailings as requested. Supporting the Executive Director and Business Office Manager when needed is also part of your role. Confidentiality is critical, and you must protect the personal information and rights of our residents at all times.

Additionally, the PRN Receptionist will help ensure adequate coverage for meal service by coordinating with the Culinary Services Director and Host/Hostess. This includes taking resident meal orders, providing drink refills upon request, and assisting with cleaning, resetting, and preparing the dining room between mealtimes. This position requires the ability to stay composed during frequent interruptions and stressful situations, demonstrating patience, professionalism, and a servant heart aligned with our mission statement. You will work independently following community procedures and guidelines, using sound judgment to handle various tasks without direct supervision.

The work environment is indoors within an open office space, and the role involves frequent distractions. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly when managing office supplies. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, have strong organizational skills, and are committed to serving others in a supportive, senior living community.
